Education systems

Education system in the United Kingdoms and State of Qatar

How Student are educated differs according to the country itself . Curriculum, nationalities, facilities, holidays, treatment, segergation and many other qualities differ from each school to another. Where if we  were to compare between the UK and my home country, Qatar, the diffrences are numerous.

In Qatar there is two kinds of schools, the private school and the public schools. In most private schools it is a mixed gender school whereas in public schools boys are separated from girls . However private schools can cost very much , and more expensive .

Firstly , both public and private schools are very strict on uniforms. All students  have to wear the right and suitable uniform, but in the UK students tend to wear what the student prefer with few regulations . On the otherhand there are some differences in the holidays given to the pupils or to the students , in the UK all universities and schools have the Christmas holiday in December and the Ester after a while , my home country it depends on the schools , if its private it will follow the british holiday system and also Eid holiday which is twice a year. In private schools most teachers comes from the UnitedKingdom.  In Public schools the teachers can be from all over the world , either Egyptian, Qatari and Indian ,but mostly Arabian.

However, to graduate in Qatar students should complete 12 years of education , 6 years in primary, 3 years secondary and finally 3 years in tertiary whereas  in the UK  they have to complete 13 years of education and graduate with A levels. This affect other national students whereby they have to take the IFP ( international foundation program ) to reach 13 years of education.

As a conclution there are many diffrences and a few similarities in the education systems between UK and Qatar . These differences are all about uniforms , holidays , facilities and many other things i discussed.
